Take protein from a jellyfish, mix with rooster semen, find a
hen, fertilize an egg, make it glow green. World egg production industries rely on a single sex only /female/, with the males generally disposed by carbon dioxide gassing or rapid maceration one or two days post-hatch. Males from layer breeds cannot be raised for meat because it is not economically sound to do so.
Developing a genetically modified chicken in which they put a gene from a jellyfish which produces a protein which will glow green under an ultraviolet light. That will enable determine the sex of the chicken before they hatch. Whether you would prefer to destroy millions of male chicks each year or whether you would prefer to eat an egg from a genetically modified chicken?
The egg or the chicken?
