SunWithin
The work SunWithin, 2020/2021 is a mixed reality installation that consists of a 360-degree animation and a spiral shaped digital print on silk. It tells of a fictional world in which visitors engage with the ideals of peace, harmony, unity, prosperity, and love. The technology is supposed to help viewers gain access to their “third eye” and reach a new state of consciousness.

For the artist and scenographer Vesela Stanoeva, paradise is not a place but a state of mind. Her work references an uncertain future in which the world is no longer controlled and created by human beings but by technologies and artificial intelligence. Her sensual works immerse the viewer in dreamlike worlds and surreal nightmares.

Funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia as part of the Individual Artists' Funding Program, as well as by the Academy for Theater Digital and the Federal Cultural Foundation. Commissioned by NRW-Forum Düsseldorf.
